    Project data

    Planning Start: January 2005

    Completion: February 2005

Total construction costs: 9.9m. EUR gross

    Gross floor space: 6.896 m²

  • Scope of work

The building, which was furnished with a historically important facade by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, was built around 1650 and became the seat of Prussian Administration and then Police Headquarters.

The condition of the structure required a comprehensive renovation of the statically constructive building parts while taking fire safety requirements, the users’ requirements and the conditions of the preservation order into account.

After assessing the different possibilites for use a catalogue of measures was made and the costs were calculated, in order to prepare the decision on the required renovation work on the Stadthaus.
